Severe weather alerting · live NEXRAD radar

The dangerous ones reach you. Every time.

One notification isn't enough for a tornado warning. Stormward watches the National Weather Service for your exact location and fans the dangerous alerts out across email, push, and SMS at once, so a single provider failure never costs you the warning. With a live animated radar loop to watch it coming.

Founding rate $1.50/mo ($18/year) · locked for life · full refund anytime before launch

Why Stormward

Redundancy is the whole point.

Most weather apps send one push notification and hope it lands. During severe weather, "hope it lands" is how people miss a warning. Stormward treats a tornado warning like the emergency it is: it fires on every channel you've turned on, simultaneously. You configure which alert types are loud and which just log, down to the event.

Questions

The honest answers.

Is this a real product or just an idea?

The core is real and running: the alerting engine, per-event rules, the redundant multi-channel delivery, and the animated radar dashboard all work today. The pre-order funds turning it into a polished, multi-user service with accounts and saved locations. Anything not live yet is marked "At launch" above.

What's the founding deal?

Founding members pay $1.50/mo ($18/year) and that rate is locked for life, while the regular price will be $2.50/mo ($30/year) at launch (founding members save 40%). Your first year bills today and renews annually at $18. Full refund anytime before launch.

What if you never launch, or I change my mind?

Full refund, anytime before launch, just reply to your Stripe receipt. We're targeting late 2026. We'd rather refund you than keep money for something we didn't deliver.

Is Stormward an official warning source?

No. Stormward relays alerts from the National Weather Service and is a convenience layer, not a replacement for official sources. Always keep a NOAA Weather Radio or your local emergency channels for life-safety decisions.

Where does the data come from?

Alerts come straight from the National Weather Service public API (api.weather.gov). Radar is NEXRAD reflectivity. The alerting that you pay for runs entirely on public, authoritative government data.

Safety notice. Stormward is an informational tool that relays National Weather Service data. It is not a substitute for official warnings, NOAA Weather Radio, or instructions from local emergency officials. Do not rely on it as your only source during life-threatening weather.
